Guardians tend to care less while the kid is in the middle education standard, ie, in class V to IX. They would compromise in Quality tutoring. Suddenly, the guardian would get a notice that her wedding has been fixed up and she can't continue the tuition any more. Again the guardian would go out to seek another gig tutor.
Upper middle class males have a peculiar quality. They are damn too busy pursuing money and they have indeed amassed quite a wealth. But, they are time poor. Such men allows their housewives to get an outlet to crack their boredom by the way of taking up a school-teaching job or private tuition. They work in a private school for often a paltry salary of Rs 10k or 15 K. Ask yourself, what QUALITY of a teacher you'd get for such a salary. Rich/middle class housewives do it just to keep themselves engaged and get a coterie of colleagues, For, you get colleagues only if you are engaged some where, don't you? Her income is not the necessity, she already has surplus. Her activity is to spend time only as long as she fancies it. She maintains this colleague-coterie to get a sense of belonging and recognition. Not much is done to concentrate on the pedagogy.
HARMFUL EFFECTS OF GIGS ON KIDS:
What guardian fail to understand is that the value of foundation building is neglected by THEM when the kid was to develop the sound knowledge and interest on the subject. They spoiled the future in the hand of unprofessional gigs. They search for a professional specialist when the Kid goes to the X-XII Standard. By then, there is no time for any specialist to mend the works left behind.
WHY DO GUARDIANS NEGLECT THE FUTURE OF THEIR CHILDREN IN CLASS VI-VIII:

These guardians would spend like mad men when it comes to train their kids for the IITs, MBBS from class VII itself. Little do they realise that they become gullible ploy in the hands of the marketing professionals of the CORPORATE TUTORIALS. The corporate tutorials spend in hundreds of Crores INR to hook these impressionable kids and their guardians in collusion with the schools (Often bribing the school authority to do marketing in the school premises in the school hours). In such tutorials, Kids would sit in a class of 40 students. and 90% of them would not understand a thing. 99.999% would fail to reach their goal after XII. They would end up in the queue of unemployed or underemployed youth passing out from an institution of ordinary class.
Some of them would keep studying upto Phd getting yet nothing that they dreamt of in their teens.
How do I say so? It's because of my 38 years' experience of teaching kids. I've been seeing how misguided guardians are spoiling the kids future. Today's 40-45 years old young people once happened to be my students.
SOLUTION
Employ a professional specialist tutor while the kid is in VI at a premium, spend more. Specialists charge for their experience and methods. Their time slot is precious.

Engage SEPARATE subject tutors. Because specialists do not teach multiple subjects. Get a tutor who has been engaged FULL TIME IN TUTORING FOR THE LAST AT LEAST 20 YEARS. He/She is perfectly acquainted with the changing Board question patterns. They know how marks can be enhanced, which style of answering is necessary. Often, marks can not be scored good by following books found in the market as the Board examiners themselves are aware of them. They think the examinee has copied or mugged it up, hence is not fully awarded.
